“My story wasn’t the same thing as my career path”.
Whenever I was asked to tell my why or my story, my thoughts automatically went to “say the right thing”. I guess you can say that’s a mindset that started out when I was a small child, part of a family that prides itself on discipline. It wasn’t until my journey into PR that I realized that my story wasn’t the same thing as my career and how I got to this point. My story is actually, me. Who I am, what contributes to me being who I am today, and using that as a vehicle for other women to amplify their experiences, knowledge, and voice.
Candice D'Angelo is the founder of The Agency East - A PR Agency dedicated to amplifying the voices of female business owners on a mission to evolve the status quo. And- The Selling Lab – a sales training agency where online and offline businesses alike come to level up their sales skills and build custom training.
A corporate dropout with 12+ years of sales experience, Candice first discovered her passion for helping others amplify their visibility and grow their business as an undergrad while pursuing a degree in Sociology and communications at Florida State University. Her first big break came when she landed a job with an advertising agency prior to graduating. She was quickly promoted from an intern to a paid account manager where she wrote ad placements for big names like Visit Florida and pitched agencies such as the Department Of Transportation.
